Befriending

u3a members come from all walks of life. They are busy staying active, making new friends and learning together. There is no upper age limit – and no lower limit either, but attending any of their large variety of groups is a great way to combat loneliness.

Provide one to one befriending and group activities for people who are 65 and over, living in Berwickshire or Kelso.

Provide a wide range of volunteer befriending support for people with learning disabilities (and young people with autism) in the Scottish Borders.

Help with loneliness.
